Hakkinen says Ferrari need to be perfect to beat Hamilton

Ferrari are making a bit of a meal of this season, with plenty of people believing they have the fastest car on the grid but are just being out-thought by Mercedes and out-raced by Lewis Hamilton. This was made clear in Italy last weekend when Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel sent the Tifosi into raptures during qualifying, locking out the front row of the grid. However, on Sunday, they battled at the start, leading to Vettel falling back and tangling with Hamilton, ruining his race. Hamilton took advantage and overtook Raikkonen for the race win and opened up a 30-point lead in the drivers’ standings to Vettel in the process.
