F1 set to raise rear wings in 2019

Formula One's rear wings are to be raised next season and also the position of the mirrors are to be changed in an attempt to improve the driver's visibility in his car. The FIA have been on this issue since the start of the year, having a look at ways to improve rear vision probems that are in the current set of cars. The work was triggered and sped up following Carlos Sainz and Sebastian Vettel's near miss in qualifying at the Austrian Grand Prix. These changes will need to be approved at Formula One's next Strategy Group meeting and at the FIA's World Motor Sport Council before being confirmed to be included in the rules next season - but Motorsport.com understands that this won't be an...
