"Ecclestone would always choose Perez in Force India"

Sergio Perez largely has been outperformed this season by his team-mate Esteban Ocon, yet the Mexican has a point more than the French driver. Force India driver Sergio Perez has been outclassed most of the season by Esteban Ocon in the other Force India car. Despite this, Ocon has one less point than the Mexican and according to former Formula One driver Marc Surer, this is no coincidence anymore. "What is so special about him is that he always likes to get a result," Surer told Motorsport-total. "He is a bit lucky, but he succeeds. He keeps on biting into something and never gives up.
