Ricciardo knows Honda switch not guided by emotions at Red Bull

Daniel Ricciardo sought reassurances from Red Bull that the team's switch to Honda power for next year was not rooted in negative emotions linked to its troubled relationship with Renault. Red Bull Racing's decision to work with Honda after an eventful twelve years with Renault is seen as an inherently risky move by the Milton Keynes-based outfit, given the Japanese manufacturer's poor track record since its return to Grand Prix racing with McLaren in 2015, although both performance and reliability have positively improved this season with Toro Rosso.
