Australian Grand Prix officials confirm 2019 date

The 2019 Australian Grand Prix is set to take place one week earlier in the month than it has been in recent years, subject to final FIA approval. The week of 15-17 March 2019 looks set to host Formula 1's 2019 curtain-raising event around the Albert Park circuit. With the potential of a second Grand Prix taking place in the United States in Miami, Florida. The move is likely to help make room for the event or to also facilitate more breathing room across the calendar for logistical purposes after a congested 2018 calendar. Minister for Tourism and Major Events John Eren said: 'The Grand Prix has become a pillar of Victoria’s world-class events and sports calendar...
