Brown: I think Grid Kids is really good
McLaren chief Zak Brown has praised Formula 1’s decision to use Grid Kids instead of traditional Grid Girls ahead of every grand prix, seeing it as a positive step towards broadening the sport’s appeal to a younger fan base. Formula 1 announced this week that they would use budding young racers to stand next to the drivers’ cars as part of the build-up and pre-race ceremonies. The youngsters will be chosen by their national motorsport clubs on merit, or by lottery, from among those competing in karting or junior series.
