Stroll progress masked by qualifying struggles - Williams
Williams technical chief Paddy Lowe thinks Lance Stroll’s struggles to get the best out of his car in qualifying are disguising the amount of progress he has made as a Formula 1 driver. The Canadian has had some impressive races this year, including a podium finish in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, and is ahead of teammate Felipe Massa in the points standings after Mexico. However, he has found it hard to deliver to the maximium in qualifying and has only started ahead of the outgoing Massa on the grid three times this season.
