Ilott joins Ferrari's Driver Academy

Ferrari have signed European F3 race winner Callum Ilott to their young driver programme. The 18-year-old from Cambridge finished fourth in this year's Formula 3 European Championship with six wins to his name. Ilott was previously a member of Red Bull's junior progamme but left after a disappointing 2015 campaign with Carlin in which he secured just one podium finish. He is the first British driver to join Ferrari's Driver Academy. Huge news for me as today I join @insideFDA . It’s a massive opportunity, thanks to everyone for making this happen pic.twitter.com/HEZuHPhtat — Callum Ilott (@callum_ilott) October 19, 2017
