McLaren-Honda split after three years of troubled partnership

McLaren will split with engine partner Honda at the end of the season three years into their troubled partnership. It follows consistently poor performance and reliability from Honda's engines since the two joined forces for the 2015 season. Toro Rosso and Renault have also announced their decision to end their partnership this year. McLaren will shortly announce they will use Renault engines in 2018, while Toro Rosso and Honda will join forces. The official confirmation of the two splits are the first in a series of choreographed announcements involving three teams. In addition, Renault will laster announce that Carlos Sainz, who drives for Toro Rosso this season, will join them next year....
