Hamilton testing 2018 tyres
Lewis Hamilton will drive in a 2018 Pirelli tyre test at Paul Ricard on Thursday after volunteering to take part with Mercedes. The Briton is known to dislike testing - branding the opportunity to test this year's tyres on a 'mule' 2016 car as a "waste of time". But after overtaking Sebastian Vettel at the top of the Drivers' Championship with victory at the Italian GP, Hamilton will be back in the W08 to sample next year's tyres and the returning French GP venue.
