Vandoorne lifted by McLaren Q3 place

– Stoffel Vandoorne believes the progress made by himself and McLaren over the past few races was displayed at the British Grand Prix, as he captured the best grid position of his nascent Formula 1 career.Vandoorne has endured a troubled start to his first full season in the sport, accentuated by McLaren-Honda's overall lack of reliability and performance.Vandoorne made it through to top 10 shootout for only the second time, though made his Q3 debut at Silverstone, on account of being unable to partake in the corresponding Monaco session.The Belgian set the ninth best time in Q3, ahead of Haas' Romain Grosjean, and will move up to eighth on the grid, due to Valtteri Bottas'...
