Mercedes, Petronas extend partnership

ercedes has extended its contract with Petronas, which has acted as the manufacturer's lead sponsor since its return to Formula 1 in 2010, through at least 2020.Petronas has enjoyed a lengthy presence in Formula 1, initially through its branding on Sauber, before moving to Mercedes, along with its sponsorship of the Malaysian Grand Prix.Rumours swirled that Malaysia's exit from the Formula 1 calendar after 2017 could lessen Petronas' involvement in the future.However, it was confirmed on Saturday that the Mercedes-Petronas partnership will continue until at least the end of the current decade."We fully intend to end on a high in Sepang – and to make this a race for everybody to...
