Brawn: Formula 1 now at a 'crossroads'
– Formula 1 sporting chief Ross Brawn says the championship is now at a "crossroad" regarding future regulations, particularly the type of engine it will use.Formula 1's last engine overhaul came in 2014, when it moved from naturally-aspirated V8s to turbocharged 1.6-litre V6 power units, in a push to adopt a 'greener' image.Last year, V6 units were secured through 2020, in a deal between the teams and the FIA, but simpler, cheaper and noisier engines are set to arrive from 2021.Read more: F1 agrees plan for cheaper, noisier enginesBrawn says getting Formula 1's next engine cycle "right" is of crucial importance, as the car industry heads towards electric...
