McLaren felt "disbelief" after Alonso engine failure

McLaren executive director Zak Brown said his team felt "disbelief" and "sadness" when Fernando Alonso suffered his engine failure on his first lap of practice at the Spanish Grand Prix on Friday. Honda is still chasing answers as to why Alonso's engine blew up after encountering a sudden oil pressure loss just three corners into an installation lap at the Circuit de Catalunya. But Brown said that with Alonso having failed to make the start of the Russian Grand Prix two weeks ago, it was incredible that his home event got off to such a bad start.
