Alonso: MCL32 loses ‘three seconds' on straights

Fernando Alonso has once again lamented the lack of pace that the Honda engine produces but heaped praise on his own performance. Alonso dragged the MCL32 to P15 on the grid in Sochi, with Stoffel Vandoorne seven tenths behind in P17. But before he focused on his own display, he expressed his astonishment at just how slow the team are on the straights in Russia. 'It's unbelievable how much we lose on the straights,' Alonso said. I think it was 1.3s in the first sector and there's just one corner and we have no problems there, so that's what we have.
