Alonso saddened by "lost" day of McLaren testing
Fernando Alonso admits he was both "disappointed" and "sad" after he was only able to complete 29 laps with the new McLaren MCL32 in testing in Barcelona. Alonso had an oil system problem right at the start of the morning session, and then had other issues, including an engine shutdown, when he returned to the track in the afternoon. However, the Spaniard was quick to try to play down the problems, suggesting that it was too easy for the media to draw early conclusions and hark back to Honda first test troubles in past years.
