GPUpdate.net looks back at the history of the event and the various locations which have been usedReims-Gueux (1950-66, 11 races) The French Grand Prix was one of the original seven events on the inaugural Formula 1 roster and its first home – during the Formula 1 era – was at Reims-Gueux, in the North-Eastern Champagne region. The race, which took place on public roads to the west of the city, became known for its high-speed nature, with a 2.2km main straight.
