Lauda furious by Rosberg exit: 'we're left looking dumb'
Niki Lauda has admitted that he is annoyed by Nico Rosberg's last-minute F1 retirement, as Mercedes now has a very short period of time to find a replacement driver to line up against Lewis Hamilton for Formula One in 2017. Rosberg made his retirement announcement on Friday at FIA's Prize Giving event, just five days after he won his first world championship in Abu Dhabi. Nico Rosberg is contracted all the way through 2018 at Mercedes, however the German's retirement now means Mercedes have under four months to find a replacement to compete for the F1 world championship, with most drivers already under contract for next year.
