Apple linked with potential McLaren investment
Apple has been linked with a potential investment into or a takeover of McLaren, according to the Financial Times – but the car firm and Formula 1 team have come out to deny the rumours. Apple, one of the biggest technological companies in the world, have been in negotiations with McLaren for several months, according to three people involved with the company, with both a full takeover or a strategic investment possible. It is likely that the Californian-based company would be interested in the automotive engineering side of the Woking-based company, with Apple themselves involved in developing a self-driving car in the past couple of years, and it is believed any deal would be used...
