Rosberg out to end 8 year Singapore podium drought
It may have been the scene of only his second career F1 podium back in 2008 but Nico Rosberg heads to the 2016 Singapore Grand Prix looking to make a timely return to the night race rostrum after an absence of eight years. The German finished second as a Williams driver back in 2008, a result that would remain his best in F1 until his maiden F1 win in 2012 with Mercedes. However, though Rosberg has since gone on to notch up 50 podiums since that landmark result under the spotlights, he has never again made it onto the podium in Singapore.
