Mid-season report – It could be said that McLaren had the best starting position of any team on the grid; unless something went horribly wrong, the only way is up. Off the back of a tough reintroduction of the McLaren-Honda combination in 2015, when they could only beat Marussia in the Constructors' Championship, eyes were on Honda to deliver drastic improvements to their under-powered and unreliable power unit.
