Palmer 'gutted' after spin dents strong race
Renault Sport Jolyon Palmer described himself as "gutted" after a spin cost him a chance of taking his maiden Formula 1 points at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Palmer started from 17th on the grid but worked his way forwards to occupy 10th spot, before he spun at Turn 4 and lost over 10 seconds. Palmer ultimately trailed home in 13th place, but was elevated to 12th due to a time penalty for Haas rival Esteban Gutierrez. "I’m gutted as my first points in Formula 1 were there for the taking," he said. "The car was good and I was driving well within myself in P10.
