Honda cautiously optimistic over update
– McLaren power unit partner Honda has described the partnership's performance during Friday practice for the British Grand Prix as "surprisingly encouraging", as it trialled an update.Honda spent two tokens to upgrade the intake system on the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), aimed at recovering performance from the Turbocharger it introduced in Canada.Fernando Alonso posted the sixth fastest time in second practice at Silverstone, with team-mate Jenson Button ninth, albeit held back by what Honda described as "engine data" problems.Yusuke Hasegawa, who took over as Honda's Formula 1 engine chief from Yasuhisa Arai ahead of the 2016 season, expressed cautious...
