Hamilton fastest as Ricciardo crashes in Baku FP1

 XPB Images Lewis Hamilton set the pace in the opening practice session for the Grand Prix of Europe as Daniel Ricciardo became the first victim of the new Baku City Circuit. On a dusty track low on grip, Hamilton posted a 1:46.435 to lead team-mate Nico Rosberg by 0.377s. While Hamilton was immediately quicker on each of his comparable timed laps, he also made a number of errors later in the session to end his running early. Using the supersoft tyre, Hamilton locked up and ran wide at Turn 3 before doing the same at the first corner on the following lap.
