Mercedes pit Lewis for Pascal

Like the years previous, Mercedes will not be using their current driver nor their development driver Esteban Ocon Mercedes are repeating the year before, with their current driver Lewis Hamilton stepping out the seat in exchange for Pascal Wehrlein. Pascal is the current Manor driver and also Mercedes reserve. The same situation occurred the year before when Lewis sat out the days of testing with Nico and Pascal taking turns in the W07. Pascal has stated the change was very last minute with Mercedes only telling him on Tuesday evening, with Mercedes claiming they needed an experienced driver to test the new part.
