Hamilton fastest during rain interrupted FP1

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes have clocked the fastest time during the first practice session of the 2016 season, at Melbourne's season opener, however running was compromised with a rain affected session, with the drivers work cut out thanks to small showers occurring during parts of the session.  Despite the rain, world champion Lewis Hamilton clocked a 1.29.725 on a set of soft compound tyres, with Ricciardo and Kvyat closely followed in second and third, after Red Bull Racing showed their strength in a damp FP1 which had played to the strengths of the Red Bull chassis.
