US GP qualifying postponed to Sunday morning

Qualifying for the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas has been postponed to 9:00am local time on Sunday morning. Despite heavy rain overnight, third practice took place on Saturday, with Lewis Hamilton fastest ahead of Sebastian Vettel. However, the showers intensified during the gap between FP3 and qualifying, causing it to be delayed several times. The Safety Car completed two exploratory laps just prior to 4:00pm at COTA, but conditions were deemed too dangerous to drive in.
