Perez pleased with seventh after ‘demanding' race

Sergio Perez says he was happy to finish the Singapore Grand Prix in seventh place after a 'demanding' race. The Force India driver lined up in 13th place on the grid but made up several positions on the opening lap, moving into the top 10. He made up more ground when team-mate Nico Hulkenberg and Felipe Massa collided, and Lewis Hamilton retired with a problem, moving up to seventh. The Mexican came under pressure from the two Toro Rosso drivers in the closing stages but managed to hold onto his position.
