Honda and Ferrari use power unit tokens
Honda and Ferrari have both used some of their power unit development tokens ahead of this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix. A technical directive was issued by FIA race director Charlie Whiting confirming the news. Having discovered a loophole in the 2015 regulations, existing manufacturers Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault were cleared to complete in-season power unit development throughout the season, using 32 tokens. New supplier Honda was given nine tokens for the year, which is the average of the number left to use for Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault at the start of the season.
