Circuit de Catalunya renews Spanish GP deal

The Spanish Grand Prix will remain at the Circuit de Catalunya until at least 2019 after a new deal was reached between organisers and the commercial rights holders. The circuit in Montmelo, just outside Barcelona, has hosted every Spanish race since 1991, with the new extension coming as it celebrates its 25th year on the calendar. “We are extremely proud to announce this renewal in such a special year, marking the 25th anniversary of Formula One Grand Prix being hosted uninterruptedly at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya,” said Vicenc Aguilera. “We thus extend this fruitful relationship with Formula One and we look forward to the next 25 years.” The Circuit de Catalunya's...
