Bottas making progress with back injury

Sutton Images Enlarge Valtteri Bottas says he is making daily progress with the back problem which ruled him out of the Australian Grand Prix as he hopes to return to the cockpit in Malaysia. Bottas withdrew from the season opener on the morning of the Melbourne race after suffering a small tear in the annular part of a disc in his lower back. The Finn had felt a twinge of pain when he hit the brakes during his second flying lap in Q2 and had to be helped from his cockpit at the end of the session. The injury meant he was unable to escape from the cockpit within the desired time so he was deemed unfit to race by the FIA. As he had taken part in qualifying, Williams only competed with his...
