Sporting Director Nielsen leaves Toro Rosso

– Toro Rosso has confirmed that Steve Nielsen has departed his role as Sporting Director of the team.Nielsen joined the Faenza-based outfit ahead of the 2013 season, after holding a similar role at Caterham. He has also worked for Lotus, Tyrrell, Benetton/Renault, Honda and Arrows in Formula 1.Toro Rosso did not give a specific reason for Nielsen's departure, or confirm who will be replacing him, when questioned over the matter by GPUpdate.net.Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz Jr. form an all-new Toro Rosso line-up for 2015, after Daniil Kvyat's promotion to Red Bull and Jean-Éric Vergne's exit.
