F1 success remarkable for Mercedes Wolff
Toto Wolff says the 2014 F1 season has been “remarkable” for Mercedes after it dominated to win both the drivers' and constructors' championships. The Mercedes power unit proved to be the strongest by far this year as it began the season with six consecutive victories before reliability issues saw Daniel Ricciardo win in Canada. Further wins for Ricciardo in Hungary and Belgium mark the only races Mercedes failed to dominate and Wolff said the team was not expecting to be so successful this year. “For Mercedes-Benz, 2014 has been a remarkable and historic season,” Wolff said. “Firstly, because it saw the introduction of F1's new 1.6 litre turbocharged, hybrid power units, which...
