Kobayashi secures Caterham F1 Abu Dhabi seat
Kamui Kobayashi has been confirmed for Caterham F1’s rebirth at this weekend’s season ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The struggling team announced over the weekend that they will attend the final round of the season following a successful crowdfunding effort, which has raised almost £2 Million ($4 Million AUD) in under two weeks.
Since the announcement, the outfit has now moved quickly to confirm that 2014 season regular Kobayashi will fill one of the race seats at Abu Dhabi.
“It hasn’t been an easy last few weeks, so it will be nice to be back to in the car and work together with the Caterham F1 team members,” said Kobayashi.
