Bianchi suffers 'severe head injury' in crash

Marussia F1 Team. File Photo. The FIA has confirmed that Jules Bianchi has suffered a severe head injury in an accident at the Japanese Grand Prix. Bianchi struck a recovery vehicle which was moving the wreckage of Adrian Sutil's crashed Sauber. Bianchi was transferred by road to the nearby Mie General Hospital, where he is currently being operated on. He is set to be moved to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit following the surgery.
