Williams pair bemused by lack of pace

Both Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas were left surprised by their pace in FP2 after struggling to improve significantly on the supersoft tyre. The two drivers finished the second practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix in 17th and 18th places respectively and well off the ultimate pace having not improved as much as the other teams on the option compound. Massa said more pace will be possible from the tyres if he manages to solve issues with his car but says the team is set for a tough race if it can't improve. “It's a really difficult night for us,” Massa said. “We couldn't find the right balance, the right grip, especially on the rear of the car.
