FIA to review F1 Super Licence system

The FIA will conduct a review into the way Formula 1 Super Licence's are granted in response to younger drivers making their way to the top tier of motorsport with little experience. At present, a driver must have achieved success in a lower formula, as well as completing 300km of running in a Formula 1 car to be eligible for a Super Licence. However with 16-year-old Max Verstappen taking up a seat with Toro Rosso next season and having completed a single season of European Formula 3, the whole system has been called into question.
