Hamilton quickest at Monza practice

Lewis Hamilton showed no signs of carrying over frustration from his disappointing Belgian Grand Prix by topping the timesheets from Jenson Button at Friday's first practice for the Italian Grand Prix. Mercedes driver Hamilton set the fastest lap time of 1 minute 26.187 seconds around the 5.793-kilometre Monza track, with his former teammate Button 0.623 seconds behind in a McLaren. Drivers' championship leader Nico Rosberg was third, guiding his Mercedes round 0.808 seconds off the pace set by Hamilton.
