Second a nice surprise for Alonso

Fernando Alonso says second place in today's Hungarian Grand Prix was a 'nice surprise', adding that Ferrari took a risk to try and take the victory. The Spaniard lined up in fifth place on the grid for the start of the race but lost a position on the opening lap. As the race progressed, Ferrari opted to give Alonso a long final stint on the option tyre. He pitted for the final time with just under half of the race to go and despite failing to take the victory, he still managed to secure second place after a close fight to keep the two Mercedes drivers behind.
