Massa on top for Williams at Silverstone

Williams Martini Racing Felipe Massa set the fastest time for Williams on the first day of the third in-season test at Silverstone. Massa’s time of 1:35.242, which he set during the first half of running, was not beaten after lunch and remained the quickest time of the day. Daniel Ricciardo did not set a time in the morning session but pumped in a late lap to go just 0.006s slower than Massa. Championship leader Nico Rosberg was third quickest for Mercedes, 0.331s down on Massa. Adrian Sutil put in a late quick lap to go fourth for Sauber, less than half a second slower than Massa. Jules Bianchi was fifth for Marussia and completed over 100 laps as he conducted tyre testing for Pirelli,...
