British Grand Prix red flagged after opening lap crash

The British Grand Prix has been red flagged after just two laps following a heavy accident involving Kimi Raikkonen on the opening lap. Raikkonen, who started 18th, ran wide at the entry to the Wellington Straight, losing control of his Ferrari as he attempted to rejoin the track, slamming into the right hand retaining wall at high speed, before spinning back across the track, being collected by the slow starting Williams of Felipe Massa. The Finn was seen to be limping as he extracted himself from the car, being sent to the circuit’s medical centre to be checked over. Massa managed to limp back to the grid in his broken Williams, the Brazilian having hit Raikkonen’s out of control...
