Bottas secures first ever podium finish in Austria

Valtteri Bottas secured the first podium finish of his Formula 1 career after finishing the Austrian Grand Prix in third place. The Finn started on the front row, alongside his team-mate Felipe Massa who was on pole position, but he fell behind eventual race winner Nico Rosberg at the start. He advanced ahead of Massa at his first pit stop before dropping behind the second Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton at his final trip to the pit lane. Bottas dropped back from the two Silver Arrows in the closing stages, finishing 8.1 seconds down on Rosberg and 6.2 seconds behind Hamilton.
