Newey the latest to slam double points

Red Bull chief designer Adrian Newey is the latest figure in Formula One to criticise the double points rule. According to Newey, awarding more points for a victory at one race is an 'artificial' concept akin to professional wrestling. "It's a personal view, but I'm not a fan of it at all," Newey told Autosport. "To me it just seems very artificial that third place [in Abu Dhabi] will now be worth more than first place at Monaco or another race.
