Pic back in Formula 1 as Lotus reserve

– Charles Pic has secured a reserve driver role with Lotus for the 2014 Formula 1 campaign. The Frenchman, who parted ways with Caterham after just one season, was confirmed in his new position during the official presentation of Lotus' new E22 chassis at the Bahrain International Circuit on Thursday afternoon. He will provide backup to Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado, should either man be unable to compete. Nicolas Prost and Marco Sørensen have also extended their ties with the Enstone-based outfit.
