Red Bull calls time on trying Jerez test
– Red Bull has packed up early on the final day of the opening pre-season test at Jerez, with the team continuing to endure technical gremlins. The reigning World Champions end the week on a tally of just 21 laps. Having scraped together three laps on the opening day of the gathering, with a car preparation error cited as the root cause, Sebastian Vettel could add just eight more the following day before an energy store issue struck. Mechanics worked closely with engine partner Renault in an attempt to rectify the problem for Daniel Ricciardo's first day in the RB10, but his maiden run came to a smoking end, brought on by chassis cooling problems.
