McLaren: Merc will be strongest
Martin Whitmarsh reckons the Mercedes team could have the advantage next season - even over Red Bull Racing.
Next year's Championship will see the introduction of the 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 engines which are expected to shake up the field.
Whitmarsh, however, believes the swap will hand the advantage to Mercedes as not only did they have a strong 2013 campaign but they also design their own engines.
He told Autosport: "Anyone who says at any team, even Red Bull, that they are super confident they are going to win the World Championship, you cannot be.
"My suspicion is that Mercedes will be strongest.
"I am saying it because I am probably a bit biased, but I also have some...
