Hamilton: Winning is the only thing that counts 4 December, 2013 Lewis Hamilton celebrates winning the Hungarian GP Lewis Hamilton admits that helping Mercedes finishing second in the 2013 Formula 1 Constructors' World Championship was a big deal, but at the same time him finishing fourth in the driver's championship was no big deal because winning is the only thing that counts.
Speaking to Daily Mail about his season, Hamilton said, 'It's not a big deal, you don't get a bonus for it [finishing third as opposed to fourth]. Winning is the only thing that counts.'
