Maldonado 'close' to Lotus deal
Pastor Maldonado is closing in on a Lotus deal for next season but concedes it is not definite until it is signed.
Having opted to leave Williams at the end of Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix, Maldonado has been in talks with several teams including Lotus.
His talks with the Enstone team reportedly heated up at Interlagos with the Venezuelan expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
"We are quite close," he told Autosport.
"We have been working very hard since many months ago and now we are just waiting for confirmation - all the stuff that you need to do with contracts.
