Lotus confirm Kovalainen for remaining races
Lotus has confirmed that Heikki Kovalainen will stand-in for Kimi Raikkonen for the remaining two races of the season. Team principal Eric Boullier was keen to employ someone with experience as Lotus battles to finish higher than fourth in the Constructors' Championship. After approaching both Nico Hulkenberg and Michael Schumacher - both of which turned the offer down - they turned to Kovalainen, a veteran of 109 race starts and a win for McLaren in 2008.
