Video: Last V8 leaves Brixworth

Ahead of the introduction of the new V6 turbo formula, staff at Brixworth bade an emotional farewell as the last V8 engine left Mercedes engine HQ.In this behind the scenes at look Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth, the last V8 engine (unit FF73) is signed off, the last ever Formula 1 V8 engine to leave the factory.The procedure, known as BIPO - Break In, Pass Off - is the process that every engine must go through before it's passed fit for track running.As you watch the end of a remarkable era of F1 engine noise and power remember that there's no time for sentimentality in F1; what with the new V6 turbo formula just around the corner....
